But he will play an important role in the story of the heroine Ana de Armas.

Keanu Reeves shared new details about the upcoming action movie "Ballerina" - a spin-off of "John Wick" about the adventures of the mercenary Rooney performed by Ana de Armas. The actor hinted that there are few scenes with his character John Wick in the film.

According to the plot of the film "Ballerina" Rooney from the Director's group (Angelica Huston) will go to take revenge on the people who killed her father. At some point, Rooney will cross paths with his more experienced colleague, mercenary John Wick.

In an interview with Total Film, Keanu Reeves said that John won't be in Ballerina for long. However, Baba Yaga will play an important role in the plot - he seems to help Rooney deal with enemies. As Reeves noted, Wick will organically fit into the story:

“It was fun to put on the costume again, even if it was for a little while. There's a reason why John ends up in Ballerina, it's very organic. And Anna was great to work with. She really loves action and she's good at it."

Reeves also praised the work of Underworld director Len Wiseman, to whom John Wick franchise creator Chad Stahelski has handed over the reins. Stahelski is the producer of the project. According to Wick, Wiseman managed to maintain his creative style while still capturing the spirit of "John Wick":

“It's a great story. Len Wiseman has his own vision, but he also loves the world of John Wick. It has Ian McShane as Winston. So I think it's a good transition."

John Wick 4 is slated for release on March 24th. "Ballerina" will be released later. Also in the plans of Chad Stahelski "John Wick 5" and the TV series "Continental".
