bose quietcomfort earbuds
The Bose QuietComfort Earbuds are Bose's latest product to compete with Sony for market leadership in premium wireless earbuds. It is about this model that will be discussed in my review.
Bose Quietcomfort Earbuds Review
Design and construction
Many have scoffed at the bean shape of the Galaxy Buds Live, but the Bose QuietComfort Earbuds are somewhat similar. However, the case here is made more subtle and elegant. Their size may seem large only with the new Bose StayHear Max attachments.
The essence of StayHear Max is that any part that touches the ear should be made of soft silicone, this contributes to a more comfortable use. Earbuds sit very securely in the ears, so the headset is great for sports.
In the kit we also have additional nozzles of larger and smaller sizes. The QuietComfort Earbuds come in two colors: black and white, each version looks very stylish.
Touch control
The Bose QuietComfort Earbuds support touch controls, although there aren't many options available to us.
A single tap on the right earpiece pauses or plays, the action also allows you to answer or end a call. A long press activates the voice assistant on your smartphone or rejects an incoming call.
Double tapping the left earbud toggles between noise canceling modes. Press and hold can be assigned to one of two functions: checking the battery status or skipping to the next track. In addition, swipe up and down allows you to adjust the volume.
Features and functions
Bose QuietComfort Earbuds are IPX4 sweat and rain resistant, making them even more suitable for workouts.
When you take the headphones out or put them back in, the music will automatically stop and play. Alas, only the right earpiece is endowed with headset functions using it. you can answer calls, however, the option must be activated in the settings.
Bose Music App
The Bose Music app for Android and iOS has received a lot of updates since the release of the Noise Canceling Headphones 700. The interface is nicer, although navigation remains simple.
Unfortunately, there is no equalizer here, however, you can choose from 10 levels of active noise cancellation for QuietComfort Earbuds. There is also volume control, playback control, ANC settings, battery status information and other useful options.
There is no built-in voice assistant in the headphones, but you can call the assistant from your smartphone - by touching and holding your finger on the right “bud”.

Sound quality
The Bose QuietComfort Earbuds sound great, delivering powerful and punchy sound without losing fidelity.
Everything is in order here and with the bass, they are powerful, but do not destroy the balance of the whole composition, as is often the case with other devices. The soundstage is very voluminous, QuietComfort Earbuds are excellent for playing music of any genre.
They have high definition that pairs perfectly with finer details like subtle synth grunge, guitar fret noise, snare drum rumble and more. The sound is voluminous and full, especially at high volumes. These are some of the best, if not the best, wireless headphones on the market.
Active noise cancellation
Bose talks a lot about the QuietComfort Earbuds' active noise cancellation in their promotional materials. According to the manufacturer, here is one of the best ANC technologies on the market. Such a statement would seem too bold from any other brand except Sony, but, this is Bose.
Indeed, the silence when active noise cancellation is turned on can even be frightening at first. The sound of a car on a busy road is almost inaudible, as is the loud laughter of a company of teenagers nearby - very muffled. And all this with active music playback.
The Active Noise Canceling function does an excellent job in any situation, and there is also a customizable transparency mode. If you wear only one earphone, ANC will become minimal, however, it is worth inserting a second earpiece into your ear, and everything returns to its previous values.
Bose QuietComfort Earbuds are incredibly effective at canceling out ambient noise without affecting the quality of your music.
Microphone quality
Many manufacturers that produce wireless headphones are loud about the possibility of phone calls. Most of them will sound like you're on a speakerphone. Yes, you can use any headphones for talking, but many of them are far from ideal. There are some exceptions here, the quality of which varies greatly.
Bose has built a special voice microphone for calls into the right QuietComfort Earbuds. The company says it's designed to focus on your voice and block out the chaos around you. Unfortunately, the real results were rather mediocre.
The person on the other end of the line could hear background noise, although my voice was soft and high. He also noticed that the noise got louder when I stopped talking, which was not the case with the Sennheiser CX 400BT. At the same time, Bose gives us the ability to control how much of our voice we want to hear through the headphones during telephone conversations: low, medium, high, and none.
Autonomy Bose QuietComfort
Battery endurance is one of the weakest points of the Bose QuietComfort Earbuds. On average, one charge lasts for headphones for 6 hours, which is more than Apple AirPods Pro and roughly corresponds to the Sony WF-1000XM3. The charging case provides two more full cycles of replenishment with energy, which in total gives 18 hours of autonomy.
This is a third less than that of the main competitors, and it is difficult for me to understand why this is so - after all, the size of the case is no less than the analog from Sony.
A durable plastic case protects the headset from bumps and drops, inside it contains magnetic connectors for fixing the headphones and a Bluetooth pairing key. On the front side of the case there are LED indicators showing the battery status. The case itself supports Qi-standard wireless fast charging, and just 15 minutes of connecting it to the network gives the headphones two hours of operation.
Conclusion
The Bose QuietComfort are a really good model and one of the best wireless headphones to date, both in terms of sound and active noise cancellation.
Their only drawback is not a very powerful battery. Competitors, including the Sony WF-1000XM3, have better ones, and in terms of sound quality and ANC, the Sony model is not inferior to Bose. Other alternatives include the Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 2, where the noise cancellation isn't as good, but the sound is top notch.
Is it worth buying?
The QuietComfort Earbuds have great ANC technology and overall sound quality, as well as premium features like wireless charging.
