From Denmark to the world of high-end home theaters!
Today we would like to tell you about one of the undeservedly “underestimated” brands of home theater acoustics. It will be about the Danes, namely about the Jamo company and their “Studio 8” line.
What immediately attracts is the restrained, but at the same time recognizable Scandinavian design. Laconic strict lines, the absence of flashy ruffles and, at the same time, to some extent the sophistication of the model make it a truly universal solution in any interior from a loft to a classic.
The choice of the speaker form factor is also pleasing. The lineup is represented by three floor stands, two shelves, two center channels, and a couple of subwoofers and even DolbyAtmos surround speakers, which are installed on top of floor or shelf models in special connectors and do not require direct cable connection, which will have a positive effect on the aesthetics of the interior.
Each model is equipped with an elegant fabric protectors for the speakers on magnetic mounts, but in our subjective opinion, “Studio 8” looks much better and nobler without them.
An important factor is that this series has 3 color options - white, black and walnut.
And now about the sound!
Here Jamo exceeded all our expectations. This is exactly the case when even more beautiful content is hiding behind a beautiful wrapper!
Wide frequency range, crystal highs, legible mids and very confident bass even without a subwoofer, although there is some "looseness" in the sound picture. But name at least one series of acoustics in this price segment, which would not sin ...
I really liked looking at such a set in combination with the Yamaha HTR-5072 AV-receiver the film “Gladiator”. The ringing of the steel of ancient Roman swords gave goosebumps! An indescribable feeling!
